Fantastic walking, lakeside views, castle ruins, fascinating industrial heritage, stunning wildlife and views over to Snowdon: what's not to love? The 800-acre (324 ha) Padarn Country Park surrounds Llyn Padarn above the popular village of Llanberis.

There are many gorgeous spots to take in the scenery, such as Pont Pen-y-llyn at the lakes' north western tip, or Dolbadarn Castle, Llewelyn the Great's 13th-century fortress, on the shores of Llyn Peris.
