Diesel pumping station Over- and Neder-Slingeland has been in service from 1939 and provided drainage for the polders Over- and Neder-Slingeland. The paddle wheel is powered by a Crossley diesel engine. After a thorough renovation, the pumping station was reopened on April 17, 2015.The Over- and Nederslingeland polders were initially drained by two mills. In November 1900, a steam paddle wheel pumping station was built on the site of the Kademolen, which burned down shortly before, on the Postkade of the Nederslingeland polder. In 1902, Over- and Nederslingeland were merged into a single polder, making the Overslingeland mill superfluous. This mill was demolished the following year.
