Kanaalpad is the name of what used to be a narrow asphalt road and at one point turns into a very narrow asphalt path next to a dirt road. Along the Twente Canal. The asphalt path is so narrow (and the sand sometimes even hides it from view) that cyclists cannot pass each other there. Either you or the oncoming car will have to take a piece of unpaved road. Nice view of the canal and the lock.
