"Iseneisen is one of the five districts of the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Heiligenhaus. Iseneisen is located in the northwest of the city and borders on Essen and Velbert.
The place name Isenbugele goes back to the “Hof Isenbugele”, which was first mentioned in 1250 as Isenbugele.
Until the 19th century, the Isenriegel Honschaft was one of the lowest administrative units in the rural outskirts of the Bergisch mayor's office in Velbert.
