The set of buildings, including the church, the cloister, the former convent, the bell tower and what remains of the small cemetery, has been proclaimed a monument of messenger of a culture of peace by UNESCO.
The date of construction of the church is not known; the first official document certifying its existence is dated 14 November 1095.
