According to the German Hunting Association, white deer are rare in Germany. Its color is not due to a pigmentation disorder, it is obviously a genetic freak of nature. 99 percent of hunters enjoy it when such a deer walks by. It is a great sight when a white stag suddenly steps into a clearing with brown deer. And with older hunters, the myth is still in their minds that killing white animals brings bad luck.
