The small chapel was rebuilt in 2008-20011 after an earlier chapel was no longer accessible due to the land consolidation in the 1960s and slowly fell into disrepair. She is consecrated to the Mother of God. The figure of the Virgin comes from the Catholic Church, which was renovated from 2003-2008 and afterwards there was no more space for the former St. Mary's altar due to a spatial redesign.

Every year a procession to the Marienkapelle takes place three days before the Ascension.
