The Losa Mora dolmen is located within the Sierra y Cañones de Guara natural park, near Rodellar and the Mascún canyon. This burial chamber dates from the Neolithic and consists of large slabs in a good state of preservation. Being on top of a hill, the visit to the dolmen also allows you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains.

Between the abandoned villages of Otín and Nasarre, near Rodellar and heading to the well-known Mascún ravine, we will come to contemplate the great prehistoric stone that is the Dolmen de la Losa Mora. Observing its size and its solitary location in the landscape, it is easy to understand that the local people imagined fantasies to explain how such a mass could arise in that enclave.

Hence the remote legend that says that a spinner passed through those lands with her distaff and a large stone on her head, and that when she reached the place where the dolmen is, she left the stone in a horizontal position on two others that were nailed there. on the floor.

To understand this legend, one must know that the figure of a spinner is a kind of fairy in remote mythologies, representing life and death, since while she spins with her spinning wheel she is alive, but when the thread runs out he dies, and in that case he leaves the stone he is carrying on his head to make his own grave.
