About Sierra de Guara

Circular pedestrian path (S-15). Difficulty: medium

The town of Bagüeste is located in a magnificent natural watchtower that dominates the north of the Sierra del Balcés and the sources of the Isuala and Mascún rivers.

It is a simple and enjoyable itinerary (S-1) that leads to the remote corner of the Alcanadre river known as Fuente de la Tamara, which constitutes an important spring located next to the exit of the narrow section called Los Fornazos (a common section in sport descent ravines). In this section of the

Las Bellostas is the last inhabited town in the northeast of the Sierra de Guara. In its wild environment we can find numerous uninhabited towns, Bagüeste standing out among them for its strategic location on top of a hill and for its unbeatable panoramic views of the Pyrenees.

Very demanding route due to its great length and accumulated unevenness that runs through all the main peaks that surround the town of Arguis.

The route can be shortened if you return to Arguis by one of the signposted routes or by road.

The track begins descending from Arguis to pass under the A-23 and

This itinerary through the Natural Park of the Sierra y Cañones de Guara allows to know the Mascún ravine, both from the riverbed and from above, with spectacular aerial views of the needles, windows and other whimsical shapes sculpted in the limestone rock.

This complete route consists of the union of two very good loops that can be done separately, starting from Barbastro or Aínsa / Boltaña. Each of the loops constitutes a classic circular route in the area: the one from Barbastro to Abizanda and Bárcabo is 105 km long and has a drop of 1600 m, while the

The excursion (S- &) shows one of the most unusual and spectacular corners of the Natural Park, ascending through the bed of a dry ravine and through a thick forest of holm oaks and boxwood to the aerial pass of San Salvador. From here it is possible to observe the flight of birds

To the many attractions of the Rodellar area in the Sierra de Guara, the possibility of ascending this aerial via ferrata is added. It has a magnificent atmosphere, excellent landscape and wonderful views of the Mascún ravine, Cuca Bellosta and the Ciudadela.

At the end of the ascent we find the Hermitage
