The former clay pit in Oberpleis was acquired in 1989 by Til Macke, the descendant of the world-famous artist August Macke, and converted into the “Arche Lütz” nature reserve, an oasis for the flora and fauna. Special mention should be made of the kingfishers, which are under nature protection! Til Macke has always been concerned with zoology! The property and the house are located on a large lake.
