The simple hall church in Klaswipper is one of the so-called "normal churches". Because Protestant churches, which were built at that time with a state grant, had to be ordered by the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm III. use a standard building plan that its builder, the Prussian architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel, had created. “Off-the-peg churches” like those in Klaswipper were built in the region at the same time near Olpe and Hohkeppel. The model for this cost-saving unified church is probably the small, towerless church in Nackel in the Duchy of Posen, which building church master Schinkel designed in 1819 and which cost only 4,000 thalers. The King Friedrich Wilhelm III. is said to have liked the cost-benefit ratio so much that he made it the model for all Protestant churches in Prussia in the Ordinance on Normal Churches in 1827. kirche-klaswipper.de/kultur-und-geschichte/normalkirche-in-klaswipper
