It would be better to reactivate all disused railway lines. That certainly brings more tourists than a draisine route.

The Uelzen – Dannenberg railway line running through the village has been closed, and the Zernien railway station is being privatized. A draisine project is planned on the remaining tracks in the vicinity of the station to attract tourists.
