In 1184 the Archbishop of Trier donated the mill near Burg to the Himmerod monastery. Since the mill was in the Hupperath district, there were often differences between Himmerod, as the mill owner, and the Sankt-Paulin monastery, as the landlord of Hupperath.
There were differences between Himmerod and the Manderscheid office in 1666 because of the new mill in Landscheid.
According to a milling area list from the Müller Guild from 1937, the Burger Mühle was responsible for the following locations: Spang, Bergweiler and Burg.
