The nature reserve is located between Tuttlingen and Spaichingen and, as the name suggests, belongs to the municipality of Dürbheim. At the foot of the Dreifaltigkeitsberg (Spaichingen) and Großer Heuberg, and belongs to the Donaubergland region.

The Egelsee lies in the middle of the moss. The best place to start a walk is at the parking lot of the Spaichingen-Dürbheim fishing club. The moss itself is only marginally accessible, but the route is definitely worth a short walk. But also a very nice stopover for a break for bike tours.
