This section of the route is locally called "Lommiswiler Hohle", although it is located on Selzach soil. What is meant is what feels like a long, curvy ascent from Selzach up to Lommiswil with a gradient between 15 and 20%. A strenuous, sweaty section in the sun. You have a great view over the Aare valley to the Alps.
