From here you have a wide view on both sides of the campsite and the bathing establishment. In the spring of 1882, a connection between the islands of Jörnberg and Ehmkwerder was filled and the 100 m long dam to Lehmkwerder was built. In this way, the former islands were connected and developed into peninsulas, which today belong to the Kurwald area. A memorial stone was placed on the Lehmwerder peninsula in 1910 on the occasion of the 100th birthday of the Low German local poet Fritz Reuter. The area around the memorial stone is still lovingly cared for today by a citizen of Krakow.
