An old road from Adorf to Eger ran through Landwüst past the Wirtsberg to Rohrbach, today part of Bad Brambach. South of Landwüst you can find on this road the "Schwedenschanze", a defensive fortification that probably dates back to the Schmalkaldic War and was strengthened in 1632 during the Thirty Years' War.
