The Moosach is an (originally) almost 50 km long left tributary of the Isar, which flows between Freising and Moosburg. However, it must also be counted as the right tributary of the Amper, as the Mühlbach, which splits off shortly before the mouth of the Isar, leads almost 30 percent of the water at Moosburg into the Amper. The mean annual discharge in Freising is just under 3 m³ / s. Places on their (original) run are Munich, Oberschleißheim, Unterschleißheim, Eching, Neufahrn, Freising and Marzling.
