In 1220 Świętopełk, the Pomeranian prince, confirmed the possession of property assigned to the monastery in Oliva by his predecessors – including the Sarnowitz village. In 1342 the grand master of the Teutonic Knights’ Order Ludolf König confirmed the possession of property granted to the monastery and defined its borders.

In 1589 the monastery of cistercian sisters was dissolved and the Benedictine sisters from Chełmno were located there instead.

In 1834 another dissolution of the monastery took place, the manor became a free property.

In the years 1841-1878 Ludwig Zelewski was the owner, who started the construction of a classic mansion house.

In the years 1878-1906 it used to be owned by Bartels from Ruegen, then the expansion of the mansion house in eclectic style was initiated.

At present the mansion offers 6 rooms in a suite, from the garden you may enjoy a beautiful view of the western side of the building.
