Both denominations (Protestant and Catholic) shared this church until 1909. At this time, the desire arose in both denominations to end the simultaneous use of the church. In 1909, an agreement was finally reached and the Simultaneum dissolved. The Catholic community built a new Baroque style church nearby in 1910-1913. The Ev. The municipality expanded the nave of the old church, which was built in 1768, by adding an extension.

Hiking

The historic Stockbrunnen was given a new location in front of the town hall as part of the redesign of the town hall square in 1980. A separate spring in the "Weiertsfeld" district feeds the sandstone trough carved from a block. As early as 1670, a Matthias Moser ran a "Zum weissen Rössle" tavern in the town hall, before it became the Friesenheim town hall in 1853. General renovation in 2005.
