Forest chapel: the origin is not known, probably an old cult site or a stone shrine. The formerly wooden chapel was replaced by the stone structure after a fire. Say: A rider seeks protection from his enemies in the forest between the rocks. He says a prayer and a rock wall opens, picks up horse and rider and closes again. The persecutors are terrified and no one has seen the rider with his horse again.
It is more likely that the farmers came from the markets in the valley to the chapel and prayed there for the blessings of children, health and well-being, a good harvest, happiness in the cattle shed and much more. In the 19th century the forest chapel became a Marian shrine.
