The former Benedictine monastery of Banz towers majestically high above the Main valley. Anyone who visits Kloster Banz escapes the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Here you will find peace and reflection. The abbey, founded around 1070, now houses a modern education and meeting center run by the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
Kloster Banz is located north of Bamberg and is part of the town of Bad Staffelstein. The monastery is part of the ensemble of the Garden of God in Upper Mainland. It is currently owned by the CSU-affiliated Hanns Seidel Foundation and serves as a conference venue.

The former Benedictine abbey Banz Monastery is visible from afar on the Banzberg high above the Main valley and was built by Leonhard and Johann Dientzenhofer. Today the former monastery complex serves as an educational facility for the Hanns Seidel Foundation. Also worth seeing are the museum and the collegiate church of Banz Monastery. An impressive staircase leads into the interior of the church, which is one of the most important representatives of the German Baroque.
