This cemetery in Poelkapelle is the third largest Commonwealth cemetery in the Westhoek. Poelcapelle British Cemetery was only created in 1919. About 7,500 soldiers are buried here. A large number of them died in the autumn of 1917. In this cemetery you can find the tombstone of John Condon. At the age of 14, he was known for a long time as the youngest soldier to die. Recent research showed that John Condon was probably older and that he is probably not buried here.
