Within a few meters there are still some preserved historical boundary stones: boundary stones set (after) 1866 of the then newly drawn border between the kingdoms of Prussia and Bavaria and also of the centuries-old border between the County of Hanau and the Electorate of Mainz. The latter were then used and supplemented after 1866. A K P for now Prussia was carved on the Hanau side. The kurmainzer a K B for now Bavaria.
