The Roode Beek, also Rode Beek, (in German: Rodebach, Rothenbach) is a stream in the Dutch-German border area. It is a tributary of the Geleenbeek and it flows through the German district of Heinsberg and the Dutch province of Limburg. The stream has two upper reaches: a right upper reaches that rises near Siepenbusch, a village in the German municipality of Übach-Palenberg, and a left upper reaches that rises from the Brunsummerheide Nature Park southeast of Brunssum. Both branches merge at the level of Mindergangelt and then flow as a stream that flows into the Geleenbeek near Dieteren. De Roode Beek has a number of small side streams, including the overbuilt stream that used to flow through the center of Brunssum, the Merkelbeek and the Ruischerbeek. In various places the stream forms the national border between the Netherlands and Germany. The Roode Beek area, along with the Geul and Geleenbeek, is one of the three most important stream valleys in South Limburg.
