Lake Lova, just above Borno, is an alpine lake which occupies the bottom of a basin of glacial origin, at a little less than 1,300 meters above sea level, between the mountain group of Pizzo Camino (2,491 metres) and Mount Mignone (1,742 meters).

The mountain lake was created in the 1930s for power generation, a function it still fulfils today. Around the lake is a recreation area with numerous benches, barbecue and picnic areas. There is also a small chapel (Santella di S. Maria Nascente) and a tavern (Chalet Lova).
For hikers, it is a pretty scenery to look at the lake and, on the further way, to cross the torrents that feed it via wooden bridges.
However, according to the local tourism infos, the lake can either be accessed by foot or mountain bike - motorised vehicles are allowed it would require an off-road vehicle to get there.
