Gut Holm was founded on January 13, 1567. At the instigation of and as Lehn for Christoph von Hodenberg. The buildings are - except for the chapel - more recent. The establishment of the estate Holm was preceded by more than a year of political lobbying by the Weinsener Oberkreisdirektor of Hodenberg, until he had influenced bishops and dukes in his favor. The last baron Freiherr von Winterstedt died in 1838, his only son had fallen in 1814 at Waterloo, and so the estate Holm went into royal possession. Today, the estate is privately owned. The chapel of the estate is the oldest building in Buchholz and about the same age as the estate itself.

      Nice historical building. Maintained top.

A detour here is definitely worth it. However, it has two cobblestone passages.
