Montalcino is actually too good to just cycle through. The small town in the province of Siena is packed with sights. Churches, a fortress, remains of a historic city wall, the whole city is practically a single sight... and then there's the wine: the Brunello di Montalcino is world-famous - this is where it comes from. Do as the Italians do and relax with a fresh espresso.
