The Evangelical Cemetery is located at Linken Bahnzeile 19 in 7400 Oberwart.

History: In 2008 the old morgue was demolished and the new wooden cemetery church was built in its place. The opening took place on May 21, 2009. The cemetery church was awarded the Burgenland Timber Construction Prize in spring 2012. The interior and exterior design of the church was theologically thought out and aligned with creation.

In the spring of 2014, new urn graves and flat graves were laid in the entrance area of the cemetery, but due to the high demand they had to be expanded in spring 2019.

Oberwart with about 7500 inhabitants has a total of 6 cemeteries, namely for Catholics, Protestants, Reformed, Jews, as well as the poor cemetery, also the community cemetery and the Soviet military cemetery.
