    Hiking

Surrounded by the rolling South Downs, Jevington is a picturesque village that lies on both the South Downs Way and the Wealdway long-distance trails.

There is much historical interest in the area. Many Neolithic barrows have been discovered in the nearby hills, whilst the village has Roman associations. In the 18th century, it was a notorious smuggler's base.

The Eight Bells is a great country pub at the heart of the village with excellent lunch options. Be sure to try the local speciality for dessert: the village is the birthplace of banoffee pie.
