Meanwhile, the Pfaffensteg is a stone bridge made of sandstone. Originally it was a boardwalk, which enabled the pastor to walk to the church from Altenmünster to Sulzdorf via the Geißler.

The Pfaffensteg is a simple but completely ingenious construction. Not only the Geissler-Bach is bridged here. The bridge continues for a few meters on both sides of the stream through the low-lying marshy meadows. But a dam or a ramp was not simply built up. Instead, culverts were created or the entire structure was built on small pillars so that floodwater does not accumulate but can drain away without any problems. Simply brilliant.
