Monster Cave of Villa Aldobrandini

inside the Villa Aldobrandini you can find a cave that reproduces a monster very similar to the famous Bomarzo monster

Also known as Villa Belvedere, it is one of the most important historical residences in Frascati, both for its elevated and privileged position, which offers a complete panorama of the town and over Rome, and for the splendor of the carefully designed exteriors and interiors.
Its construction is due to Cardinal Pietro Aldobrandini between 1598 and 1602; designed by Giacomo Della Porta it is divided into four floors divided into reception rooms and rooms used for services, while the various terraces include water fountains and a nymphaeum, with columns, ornaments and various decorations, while the interiors are enriched with various decorations and frescoes.
The Villa is the private property of the Aldobrandini family, therefore the interior of the building is closed to the public; but you can visit the park by contacting the Tourist Information and Reception Office, Frascati Point, Piazzale Marconi 1
