The Forni glacier is the largest Italian valley glacier, ie a glacier whose tongue flows into the main valley. The Forni glacier is located in the Ortles-Cevedale group in the upper Valtellina within the Lombard sector of the Stelvio National Park. From Forni shelter in less than two hours you can walk in front of the glacier, choosing between a high (more panoramic) and a lower one. Worth noting is the passage on some Tibetan bridges under which the waters coming from the glacier flow rapidly.
