The Neye is a right tributary of the Wupper. It rises near the village of Dornbach in Halver, quickly forms the border with Wipperfürth and flows into the Wupper at Wipperfürth's main town. Shortly after the confluence with the second source arm, the Neye II, the river is dammed in the Neye dam.
