Around the 36-hectare lake with a maximum depth of 14.70 meters, there is a 130-hectare landscape conservation area. With its unspoilt banks, it offers nature lovers a tranquil bathing pleasure. The beach on the northern shore offers changing facilities, secure children's water zones and boat rentals. From the nearby campsite, a footpath leads directly to the lake.
Worthwhile is a walk around the lake (about 3km), where you can enjoy the varied flora and fauna of the landscape conservation area. On frozen winter days, the frozen lake offers a special treat to the skaters, who with their swift runners draw wide circles onto the ice glistening in the sun.
