Intrepid adventurers should not hesitate to follow the eastern bank of the canal, which is probably public land, though the adjoining farmland might try to make initial access difficult. After a few hundred yards to tracks are excellent and pass an unmapped bridge that offers an opportunity to also explore th western bank.
