The market town of Midhurst is nestled in the heart of the South Downs National Park. There are some splendid walks on the town's doorstep. From vibrant woodland, ablaze with the colour of wildflowers, to wide, open heathlands that reward with huge panoramas, there's plenty to explore in the surrounding countryside.

The magnificent Tudor ruins of Cowdray House lie just to the east of the town. The manor was large destroyed by a fire on 24 September 1793.
