The fort of Parmont lies above the town of Remiremont. It was built in the second half of the 19th century as part of the Haute-Moselle defensive curtain, a forerunner of the later Maginot Line.
There is no entry fee, but is closed in winter. Guided tours are possible at other times of the year.
