Bike Touring Highlight (Segment)
From Buxtehude to Stade or vice versa, relatively directly on the shortest route on small side roads, beautifully along the railway line, below the Geest edge. The landscape is also very attractive and you always have the opportunity to shorten the route in between and get on the train in Neukloster, Horneburg, Dollern or Agathenburg 😊
Except for 1x 500m and 1x 20m completely paved and also very suitable for racing bikes.
For the 500m unpaved section you can switch to the bike path on the nearby B73.

The path is paved throughout. No cars! On one side the Geesthang, on the other side a wide view over the Alte Land to the Elbe. Animal observation depending on the season. Container ships seem to "drive" through the country. Be careful at the Dollern train station - traffic on the highway crosses. From Hamburg with the S-Bahn or START to Stade and then back to Buxtehude. A detour to Agathenburg Castle with a very interesting history is recommended. New: bike shop in the former Dollern train station (e-bikes)

The town hall, which also functions as a registry office, is located in the center of Horneburg. This and pending buildings make a restored impression on this street. A little further in the direction of the train station, there is a neat memorial stone for the establishment of the German Empire.
