Walkers who are out and about in the Förnbacher Forest sometimes come across a very unusual boundary stone. Not far from the edge of the forest at Riedhof, a little off a forest path, there is a one meter high column made of Jura marble, which is a bit reminiscent of a lighthouse and often puzzles the viewer. The solution is quickly found if you know the three coats of arms that are carved into the marble: They symbolize the three dioceses of Munich-Freising, Augsburg and Regensburg, whose borders meet precisely at this point.
