Great view of Sulzbach.The municipality of Sulzbach, founded in 1818 with the second Bavarian municipal edict, comprised a total of 15 officially named places, namely, in addition to Sulzbach, the places and hamlets of Brunnhof, Buchhof, Dandermayer, Ebenhof, Fürholzen, Holzried, Kienhöfe, Kleineberhof, Köhlhof, Menzenbach, Menzenpriel, Pernzhof, Schabenberg and Wolfsberg. The place was partly inhabited by Mennonites from the Rhine Palatinate in the 19th century. The community lost its independence on January 1, 1972 and was incorporated into the district town of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm.
