Centred around the promenade of Criffel Street, Silloth was once a classy Victorian holiday resort. Today, it still styles itself as a town for leisure time, with a family atmosphere, amusement arcades, golf course and numerous festivals throughout the year.
There are some lovely ambles to be had along the coastline, whilst the many delights of the Solway Coast AONB can be found to the north east.
