The White Cross, the Red Cross and the Blue Cross are permanent markings in the file forest. There was also a Black Cross until 1955. Various forest plots were removed to expand the Manchinger airfield. In this context, the Black Cross that stood in the corridor of the Schwirzer family from Lindach disappeared.
Not far from the old location, after 55 years, the "Black Cross" has been set up again on the initiative of Richard Krammer and Bob Fener and under the sponsorship of the Manchinger Hatschwanderer.

In earlier times these crosses were used for orientation and today they are useful orientation aids for hikers and cyclists.
The Black Cross is in the north (near Ernsgaden), the White Cross is in the west (near Baar), the Red Cross is in the east (near Geisenfeldzüge) and the Blue Cross is in the south (near Hög).

“Each of these crosses can tell its own story and what motivated people to erect“ their ”cross at this point. (...) These crossroads have been erected as visible signs and attract the looks of many people. The cross is a symbol of life. It stands as a sign of our Christian hope and wants to direct our gaze to Jesus Christ, who overcame death (...). The cross is part of our life, just as it was part of the life of Jesus. So I wish that many people ... visit the crossroads, whether as places of silence and breathing before God, whether as places of congregation meeting, prayer and praise of God. "
