Whether it would have needed this "balcony" is another matter. It definitely offers plenty of seating. The parapet is a bit high for panorama shots with the camera.
Incidentally, here you continue on the Alpine JĂ€gersteig. A spectacular way to the top. However, this requires ability and a head for heights! (Alpine hiking trail).
