The border crossing point sun avenue has attracted little attention in the years of the division compared with other crossing points. Rarely did queues form, as in the transit license agreement of 1963/64 or at Easter 1972, when entry into East Berlin had been permitted for West Berliners before the entry into force of the Four-Power Agreement on Berlin. Only after the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989 did the border crossing through the film "Sonnenallee" become known beyond Berlin.
