Hofstade Plage

The Domein Hofstade ('De Plage' or 'Hofstade Plage' colloquially) is a 160 hectare recreational park and is owned by Sport Vlaanderen. It is located in Hofstade, a sub-municipality of Zemst in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. It consists largely of water. The two largest ponds are 35 and 25 hectares respectively. An 800 m long and 30 m wide beach has been constructed on the east side of the largest pond. The largest pond is the sports pond, the smaller pond, and two more small ponds are fish ponds. Hiking trails have been laid out around the ponds and in the woods. The domain is a well-known habitat for a wide variety of birds.

Beautiful piece of nature. Relax on the sand or in the glass beach bar with a warm Cécemel in winter or a cool drink in summer. The fountain does not always spray.
