But why Klingenlinde?
Klinge: That is the name of the area where the tree stands.
And Linde: Because this tree is a small-leaved linden, botanically also known as Tilia cordata.
The Klingenlinde is located in the extension of the Klingenweg at the junction with the Höhenweg, which is ideal for walking, as you have a wonderful view over Köngen to the Swabian Alb.
From the cemetery in Köngen, you have a beautiful view of the Klingenlinde and it is easy to reach on foot.
