In 1709, the water that came out here was declared medicinal water, and the first well was tapped in 1726 on behalf of Margrave Georg Wilhelm v. Brandenburg-Bayreuth. In 1975 the fountain was renovated. Today the water supply is disturbed by sand mining in the catchment area.

"Gesundbrunnen": Its water was declared healing water more than 300 years ago. Due to sand mining in the entire catchment area, the water supply has now practically dried up. Even today not a drop came out of the well.
