Berney Arms Windmill is one of Norfolk's best and largest surviving marsh mills. The Scheduled Monument occupies a beautiful position beside the River Yare and is free to visit. The mill was built in 1865 to grind clinker for cement and worked as a drainage mill from 1880. After ceasing operations in 1948, the mill underwent restoration and is now in the care of English Heritage.

UPDATE: Berney Arms Windmill is currently closed to visitors pending a major project to restore the mill to full working order. English Heritage has not given a date for when it will open (hopefully soon).
