The chapel was built in 1900 by order of Count Bentinck, owner of the Weldam en Middachten estate, among others. The chapel was designed by the English architect W.J. weatherley. The English building style around 1900 can clearly be recognized from the chapel, so-called cottage style. (source: wikipedia.nl)
